Payment Security Policy

Fraudsters sometimes impersonate travel companies. These simple checks keep your money and your booking safe.

Pay with confidence

The essentials, at a glance.

Protecting your money and personal information matters to us. Payment fraud, where criminals pretend to be a travel company and send false bank details, is a risk across the whole travel industry. A few simple checks are enough to stay safe.

  • Know our contacts

    We only use @dastelsafaris.com email and +255 724 211 714.

  • Verify any change

Treat a message about new bank details as suspicious until you call us.

  • Keep card details private

Never send card numbers, CVV codes or one-time passwords by message.

  • Tell us straight away

Report anything unusual so we can protect you and other travellers.

Our official contact details

Look closely at sender addresses. Fraudulent messages often use a name that looks similar, with an extra letter, a different ending or a free email service.

How we ask you to pay

We send payment instructions with an invoice that shows your name, your booking reference and the amount due. Payments should always be made to Dastel Tour and Safaris. If you are asked to pay an account held in a different or personal name, stop and call us before paying.

If bank details appear to change

Treat any message saying that our bank details have changed as suspicious until you have confirmed it by calling us on +255 724 211 714. Do not use a phone number given in the suspicious message itself. Be especially careful with messages that create urgency, such as a "final reminder" or a threat to cancel your booking today.

Card payments

When you pay by card, use only the secure payment link we send you, and check that the page address begins with https. Never send your full card number, CVV code, PIN or one-time passcode by email, WhatsApp, text message or social media. Our team will never ask you for a one-time passcode.

Protect your own accounts

  • Use a strong, unique password for the email account you use for travel bookings.
  • Turn on two-step verification for your email and banking apps.
  • Be cautious about opening attachments or links you were not expecting.
  • Keep copies of your quotation, invoice and payment receipts.

Fake websites, profiles and offers

Be wary of social media accounts, adverts or websites that use our name but offer prices that look too good to be true or ask you to pay through unusual methods. If in doubt, contact us through the details on this page to confirm that an offer is genuine.

If you think you have been targeted

Contact your bank or card provider immediately. They may be able to stop or recover the payment. Then let us know at booking@dastelsafaris.com or on WhatsApp, forwarding the suspicious message, so we can warn other travellers and help you protect your booking.

How we look after your information

We only ask for the information needed to arrange your journey and keep it securely. Read our Privacy Policy to find out more.
